Not "A Cloud In The Sky" but "Cloud In The Yard"

While searching for signs of Fall, I snapped this picture of Cloud, relaxing in the yard. Cloud is without a doubt the alpha dog on the farm. Everybody knows it....including Fred and me. He is a very polite dog and doesn't abuse his alpha power that much. He only puts the other animals in place when they get out of line. He's not a bully at all.....he has good manners & the greatest disposition (as many brittany spaniels do), he especially likes Annie Grace and he also tolerates the little dogs well. Can you tell I really love Cloud? He was born in August about ten summers ago and Fred and I picked him from the litter of ten. Great choice...he's been a wonderful pet.

Of course, Cloud lives for Pheasant Season and the trip to Kansas for hunting....which incidentally is coming up in a few weeks. Cloud is resting up and conserving energy so he will be ready to retrieve all those pheasants for Fred and Matt. So, in a way, Cloud relaxing in the yard is a sign of fall after all...
