Fred and I are watching some old episodes of Rescue Me....firefighters who are brutally honest but are allowed to be so because of what they can accomplish. Guess the truth hurts sometimes and we've all been on the receiving end of the ugly truth. I have found that some people can't handle the truth and expect to be treated delicately instead. I don't really understand that concept, which may explain why I like to watch Rescue Me re-runs filled with honesty and excitement, even though it's not always pretty.
