Lots of mornings when I leave for the office, I can see the horses and mules grazing for breakfast around the driveway. It was a lot of extra money and effort at the time but I am so glad we have the cattleguards and fences where we can drive through the field to the highway. I love seeing the animals and counting to make sure everyone is there and vertical.
This photo is Frosty, our oldest mare, and the new baby mule. Baby mule's name was Alice and before that it was Candy, according to her coggins sheet. (I wonder if she thinks Frosty looks like her mare mother. ) Baby mule doesn't have a name yet at our house.

Any suggestions for a name?
