"Release Me"

The word 'release' has many meanings to be used in various contexts. Most generally around our place, release means to let something go, to set it free or to turn it out, to take pressure away. But today, the word has a wonderful meaning to me. My mother called this morning to say that Daddy had 'been released' by the specialist who did the surgery on Daddy's face. No signs of any remaining cancer, the skin graft is a text-book success and the second biopsy taken, just in case, came back fine. Mother and Daddy both were so glad to get such good news and so was I. What a relief it can be to be released!
