Today started at 4 a.m. for me. I got up and showered quickly while having a chat with God about being strong and keeping his eye out for my family all day. Then I grabbed a big cup of joe and jumped in my car. At 5:30, I picked up my parents and we headed for Jonesboro. Daddy checked in the surgery center at 1000 E Matthews at 6:40 and by 8:30 had been wheeled back to have an operation, wearing a plastic indentification bracelet with a matching blue cap and complaining about needing feathers in his pillow.
Mother and I waited for a couple of hours until we had a consultation with the surgeon. We were so relieved to hear that the "C" had been removed and thankfully, the type of "C" in Dad's body wasn't the kind that generally spreads to other places.
As I write on my blog, it's 4 p.m. and there's no doubt in my mind that God heard me twelve hours ago. And, right now He is healing my Daddy and calming my Mother's nerves and He has restored my soul once again. He is much more powerful than everything, even The Big "C"!
Thanks to everyone, especially my blog buddies, for all the thoughts and prayers. :-)

At Bible Study last night, the topic was Faith. The leader asked the question, "if you had a big problem who would you call on first"... You answered that question in the first line of this post! I hope you Dad continues to improve and your Mom keeps her spirits high! You all will most definitely be in my prayers!
By the way, Joe says that before the wedding he is going to make my undergo mandatory cooking lessons from the best cook he knows...You!! lol...if you accept the challenge, it could be the toughest lesson you ever taught! hehe...
Faith is the only way to go sister! Thanks for keeping my Dad in your prayers.
It would be a great honor to share my kitchen with you anytime....Just come over and we'll cook up some stuff. I do miss the days when Joe ate every Sunday evening with us. You guys should come eat sometime when you don't have to go back to Conway.
so happy that everything turned out well for your Dad.
I love how prayer works.
I'm relieved for you! I know you've all had a long day, not to mention the time of worry up to this day. Rest easy now...God is watching over you all.
